Hal Strode is a London-based artist working with clay, performance and moving image. His practice is rooted in process and presence, exploring rhythm, breath and the relationship between body and material. While completing a BA in Ceramic Design at Central Saint Martins in 2025, he developed a material-led approach grounded in sustained exploration and experimentation.
He uses film to extend ideas beyond the objects , focusing on cycles of transformation, impermanence and return. Committed to sustainable practice, he explores how materials can be approached with care and awareness - a perspective that also informs his teaching on environmental themes within ceramic workshops.
